The smart home app is designed for homeowners who have solar panels installed, allowing them to manage and optimize the use of the energy they generate, seamlessly integrating renewable power into their daily lives.
The system allows users to control and monitor their smart home infrastructure, including all connected electrical devices. It provides real-time insights into the energy generated and consumed by the solar panels.
When designing the app, it was essential to ensure that users could access and manage their system from anywhere, at any time, offering complete flexibility and convenience.
Adapting the app for mobile was essential to ensure users could access the same features and functionality on the go. I focused on optimizing the interface for smartphones while maintaining a seamless user experience, so the app can be used for all the same purposes, anytime, anywhere.
Avaken also features a desktop dashboard that provides detailed insights into power consumption by category. Accessible exclusively through the desktop site, the dashboard is designed to complement the smart home app, offering a cohesive and intuitive experience across platforms.
